Because of Homeopathy School International, I am now managing a blossoming homeopathic practice.

As a registered nurse with 25 years of experience I have always been interested in finding a natural healing method that would treat the whole person and not only isolated symptoms. Homeopathy has given me a holistic and individualized healing approach to a degree that I never thought was possible.

I have been a professional student my whole adult life, so I feel that I have a lot of experience with which to compare my tenure at HSI. The classes are focused, well organized and taught in a way to be intellectually rigorous and stimulating. The program makes the study of homeopathy come to life, providing an excellent foundation to become a good practitioner. I can sincerely say that the two years at HSI yielded one of the most fulfilling learning opportunities I’ve ever had.

I love combining homeopathy and Chinese medicine in my practice. Both of these holistic modalities look at the person on multiple levels, and both focus on working with the vital force (Qi in Chinese medicine) to bring about healing. The symptoms are viewed as signs of imbalance in the body that point to the medicine that needs to be used. I can’t imagine practicing without both of these tools. Both modalities are complete in themselves, but I have found that acupuncture and herbs help me balance and support the organs and organ systems in the body, while homeopathy excels at treating the emotional layers involved in disease.

Homeopathy and midwifery are a natural combination. Sometimes during labor, a woman can become stuck or have difficulty to work through an emotional blockage. She may be having unusual pain that is hindering her progress. Homeopathy can initiate a shift for her, so that she can do the work of labor and give birth to a healthy baby naturally. Homeopathy is safe, gentle, effective, and can bring a positive outcome for mother and baby.

The Homeopathy School has given me an extraordinary homeopathic education. As a distance student, the classroom experience came to me virtually and I was able to learn along with my classmates. Thank you for working with me from a distance. Even though I wasn’t in the classroom, I enjoyed the classroom interaction and the kindness and sensitivity of the instructors.

One of my specialties in Oriental Medicine is the treatment of children and I found that homeopathy has a wealth of remedies for acute and mental/ behavioral issues, which are affecting a growing number of children. The great advantage of homeopathy is that it works almost instantaneously for acute situations such as high fever and it’s easy for the child to take the remedy, unlike herbal medicine. My Sho-Ni-Shin practice, a hands-on technique of working with children’s meridians and acupuncture without the use of needles, is very compatible with using homeopathic remedies and can significantly speed up the recovery of a child.

The schooling really prepared me for the national test with the CHC, especially the Advanced Clinical Studies. I tend to review and review for tests. The class material and home work assignments became my study materials for the test. The case writing honed my skills and the case supervision provided me with all the supervision hours I needed for national certification. I am so glad I took the HSI-Programs.

The video lessons were great! I forgot that I was sitting in my living room.

My teacher is wonderful and gentle with us. I feel I can easily ask her anything. I enjoy her examples of actual cases. They really paint a lasting picture and are a great learning tool for me.

I was completely impressed with the program. I appreciate how well-organized it was, the quality of the instructors, the support of faculty, and how this program has given me a much deeper appreciation and understanding of homeopathy. I truly enjoyed the teaching.

I will say I am totally amazed at how very complex this study is. I am impressed with the amount and presentation of the information. I believe having various teachers and speakers for seminars is an extremely valuable part of the program and it gives all of us a wider view of this field and a much deeper understanding of the art involved in homeopathy.

The instructor is extremely knowledgeable about homeopathy and her enthusiasm and dedication to the profession is admirable. The examples she used from her own practice were very helpful. It is great to experience the clinical work and be involved in the actual selection of rubrics and remedies.

The openness of the instructor demonstrating her own experience makes it all less intimidating. There is a certain “sense of wonder” to her style that is encouraging for the beginner.
