Accreditation Commission for Homeopathic Education in North America (ACHENA)

The Homeopathy School International is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Homeopathic Education in North America (ACHENA). ACHENA accreditation is a voluntary, peer-regulated process.

What is ACHENA?

The Accreditation Commission for Homeopathic Education in North America (ACHENA), founded in 1982 as the Council on Homeopathic Education (CHE), is an independent accreditation agency that assesses the educational standards of homeopathic schools and programs. ACHENA Commissioners represent homeopathic educators, practitioners, students, allied health professionals and the public. Faculty and staff of the Homeopathy School International have supported ACHENA by serving on the ACHENA Board for multiple terms. As a nonprofit agency, ACHENA devotes all promotional activity and funds to the mission and goals of ACHENA.

The Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC) Exam

The Homeopathy School International was accredited by ACHENA in 2017 and is the only school providing ACHENA accredited Self-Paced Distance Education. Graduates from the ACHENA accredited Homeopathy School International are eligible to sit for the CHC exam.

US and Canadian graduates with CHC certification can also apply for registered membership with the North American Society of Homeopaths (NASH) which grants the RSHom (NA).
